The
day came and went and those who attended our Farms Golf Clubs San Diego gingerbread
house building party had their good time. They had an opportunity to learn how
to build gingerbread houses and, for those who were visiting for the first
time, a view of our San Diego private golf courses. The party was attended by
several individuals and families who made gingerbread houses, even having
enough to carry home.
The
party was held on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at our main dining hall from 4:00 p.m.
to 6:00 p.m. Our culinary team helped participants learn different ideas and
methods of making gingerbread, with different people building different
gingerbread houses. All available seating was fully booked.
Our
gingerbread house building party is an annual event organized over the December
holidays to train our members on how to make gingerbread houses. It’s always a
great way to start off the holiday with something to celebrate. And the fact
that it’s open to families as well gives members an opportunity to bring their
families to the club and have a great time with other club members and
families.
As
usual, we provided all who attended with the needed materials for building
gingerbread houses. That made it easier for participants to join in without
carrying a lot of stuff from home or spending extra money over what they had
paid for the party.
And
as promised, there was pizza/salad buffet for everyone. That made the whole
process a lot easier, with families having something to eat as they partake in
the gingerbread building workshop.
We
are one of the few golf clubs in San Diego that offer both excellent golfing
experiences and organize social events for members and, where applicable, their
families.
